The Largest Category

Look over my shoulder and see the various bullshit I've been wasting my time on:

Bizarro Bush.

Kenta Cho strikes again with Mu-cade, the smashup waggly shmup. Cho has topped Torus Trooper, which I have gotten to level 113 on extreme. lol, waggly.

Finally, and most importantly:
So Nintendo revealed what the Revolution will be called today. Wii. Pronounced "We". As in, Wii are the Revolution. I am not sure how to take it. Here's how Nintendo explained themselves:

Introducing... Wii.

As in "we."

While the code-name Revolution expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer. Wii will break down that wall that seperates videogame players from everybody else. Wii will put people more in touch with their games... and each other. But you're probably asking: What does the name mean?

Wii sounds like "we," which emphasizes the console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.

Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people playing it. And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of videogames that sets it apart from the crowd.

So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you. Because it's really not about you or me. It's about Wii. And together, Wii will change everything.

Oh well. A piece of consumer electronics by any other name...

Back

I've been back in Madrid for a few days now. I had a great time in Andalucia. But that's not why I'm posting. Before I get into how I spent holy week, I have a few photos from the weekend before that I want to post so as to maintain chronological order.

I spent most of that weekend with Isa.

Spent one afternoon at Casa de Campo, which is like a huge park outside the city.

Some kind of parrot:

We also went out to a few bars. Isa rarely drinks, so this was a special occasion.

We had an excellent time. Anyway, posting pictures takes entirely too long. I will post again in the future about the trip to Andalucia.

Springtime Go

I haven't updated much lately because I have been enjoyably busy. I have been enjoying the weather, spending time with Isa and with Amelie and Daniela (from the Spanish class). I've spent most of the time this past week hanging out in parks, going to parties, meeting in calm bars and tea houses, and going on late night walks. I took a few pictures but it takes a while to resize them and upload them to blogger, so it'll have to wait. I have a lot I want to do today before I go out of town tomorrow.

This week is Holy Week so there's no class. I am going to go on a road trip to Andalucia with Amelie, Daniela and Sergio. We leave tomorrow morning. We plan on seeing Granada, Cordoba, the beach, and maybe Sevilla, if we have time. I've never been to Andalucia and this is the best time of year to visit it, so I'm looking foward to it. We'll be back Friday afternoon. I will have even more photos to upload then.
