Solar eclipse here in Madrid yesterday. Blind people today. I dont know how many times it was said on the news everyday for the last month to not stare into the sun, today there was a piece on "You should go to the doctor if you stared into the sun yesterday and now you're blind."

John's birthday was yesterday. I heard from Lane that his 22nd birthday party was a really good time. Wish I could've been there, my fat friend.

So I'm having trouble ironing out my class schedule. I have narrowed it down to two choices: A morning schedule that is done by 1:15 everyday but I have to wake up at 7 for, or an evening schedule that would result in not getting back some days until 9 pm. Last week I mostly did the evening schedule, and this week I am trying the morning schedule. Waking up early isn't that hard because my cousins also have early morning classes and they are all asleep by 12.

Another boring topic: Weather. It doesn't rain here. The sky is almost always completely clear. Although this is pretty normal, it has actually been unusually dry and all of Spain is the middle of a drought. It's also been pretty warm, though as soon as the sun goes down it cools off very fast, probably due to the lack of cloud cover to keep the heat in. The early mornings are very cold but it warms up fast.

Well, that's all I've got for now, so here're some photos from the past:

That's a stork that was walking around in the neighboorhood in Toledo. These birds are pretty common in Spain and seem a lot bigger close-up.
